DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Ever wanted to go down a road but had to turn back because your equipment let you down? Ever flown in to a remote and beautiful location and wished you had your canoe with you? This is why we put our heads together and designed the Kayarks. We needed a solo rig for whitewater and a long reach expedition version. The result was the KY300 and the KY380.

The Kayarks have evolved into four specialized boats. You can choose from the two different hull sizes and then configure it for flat water or whitewater and for one or two paddlers.

With the addition of a rudder and foot control in the KY380 models, tracking and speed is phenomenal, even in moderate wind conditions. What's more, the rudder is retractable for running whitewater.

KY300 WW Whitewater

This high performance one-man inflatable Kayak is probably the hottest thing to roll off our production line. Thanks to ARK'S revolutionary V-shaped inflatable floor, it turns on a dime and cuts effortlessly through the water. The fully adjustable thigh-brace system allows the paddler to be at one with the boat and water and puts the KY300 into the class of a hard shell kayak. If you do find yourself in a tricky situation, exit from the thigh-brace is quickly accomplished in a single leg- straightening action. The combination of self bailing drain holes and high volume inflatable floor quickly dumps the water. Takes a grade of any whitewater, easily handled by a novice. Often used as support and rescue boats on rafting expeditions.

The KY300 folds into an almost unbelievable 11-kg bundle! Despite this amazing attribute, it remains more than capable of extended expedition tripping.

KY300 FW Cruiser

Same successful hull shape as the KY300 WW but configured as a lightweight flat water cruiser. Geared for flat water, it is the first choice for a lightweight go anywhere inflatable canoe. Hugely popular as an agile fishing canoe that you can take anywhere. Bird watchers also love this version.

The KY300 FW Cruiser is fitted with a rudder or skeg for flatwater trips.

KY380 LR Longreach

The KY380 is a longer and faster inflatable canoe – suited for long stretches. The KY380 LR is rigged for solo paddling. It can easily carry enough gear for a multi day trip. The KY380 LR is the ideal fly-in and paddle expedition kraft.

KY380 FW 2 Flat water

The KY380 FW is the two-seater version, take a friend with or use it on your own as an expedition boat. The fastest inflatable double canoe on the water. Essentially the same as the Long Reach but is fitted with two seats and adjustable rudder system.

Again two people , an airline ticket or tank of gas and a remote paradise...
